Jailbreak , you can make on iPhone 4 , iPhone 3GS , iPod Touch 4G , iPod Touch 3G or any iPad of the first generation, except iPad 2
Jailbreak , for official and unofficial devices!
For unofficial devices, and devices NOT untied from the operator, first install custom firmware without upgrading the modem , and then proceed to Jailbreak (y)
You can not update the firmware on unofficial devices, and devices NOT unbinded by the operator to the official firmware, or firmware from iTunes .
Proceed to Jailbreak
Update your device to the latest version of iOS 4.3.1 firmware
After all the manipulations with the firmware update, proceed to Jailbreak (y) of your devices.

1. Then start redsn0w_0.9.6rc9 in the opened window click on Browse and select firmware 4.3.1
If your firmware was downloaded by iTunes itself, then the firmware is on the way;
After the correct selection of the firmware, the Next folder becomes active and you click on it.

3. Now you need to connect your device to the computer and turn it off completely!

Another such error happens if you are trying to install a previous version of the firmware on which you do not have SHSH saved, but iTunes already has a new version of the firmware.
