In this catalog, Krivtsov tried to give as detailed and practical information as possible on all Soviet state awards, from the first Soviet orders to the orders and medals established during perestroika. Since the medals "For impeccable service" are not state, but departmental awards (MIA, KGB, MEP, MI), in this book they are not considered. It should immediately be stipulated that the catalog is a practical guide for collectors, so the author does not consider it necessary to bring in this book the Statutes and Regulations, as they have been repeatedly published, and in the manual for collectors such information will be an extra load hampering the work with the material. The catalog is built in such a way that any collector, regardless of experience, could quickly find a particular award, learn its features, varieties and value. This book also illustrates and describes previously unknown varieties and trial versions of certain orders and medals. The author draws your attention to the fact that not all pentagonal pads (meaning material and construction, not ribbons) correspond to awards placed on them. On the collector's value of the subject, in general, this factor does not affect. The sequence of orders and medals in the book does not always coincide with the official hierarchy or the sequence of their establishment. The author believes that the material should be filed so that even a novice who is not familiar with the order of seniority of awards could quickly navigate in this book. |
