| Annotation: | The book you hold in your hands does not in any way pretend to be an exhaustive catalog of award marks of the USSR on this topic. However, the main material published in it refers to the most interesting period of Soviet faleristics, namely, from 1920 to 1933, when the production of award marks for labor success was not strictly regulated by the state. Many of the signs were manufactured by various private workshops and artels commissioned by young Soviet factories, factories and construction sites and, despite the predominance of proletarian symbols, they continue the traditions of Russian jewelry and applied art. Especially this applies to silver signs with enamels applied hot way. The special difference of this book, in our opinion, lies in the fact that it contains natural photographic material. A photograph of the reverse sides of the signs make it possible to have an idea of the circulations, the time of awarding, and sometimes the place of manufacture of the signs. |
