Did I not an apostle? Do I not free? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Do not ye my work in the Lord? |

Have we not power to eat and to drink? |

What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? |

For it is written in the law of Moses, not muzzle the ox that thrashy. About the oxen that God cares? |

If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it great if we shall reap your carnal things? |

If others have this power over you, are not we rather? However, we have not used this power, but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. |

Do you not know that the minister about holy things eat of the temple? that serve the altar are partakers with the altar? |

But I have used none of these things. And it is not written for so it was for me. For it is better for me to die than to my glorying void. |

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is [a duty] mine, and woe to me if you do not preach the gospel! |
