Of the sons of Adonikam, the last, and these are their names: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them sixty [man] males; |

Of the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zaccur, and with them seventy [man] males. |

|
I gathered them by the river flowing into the Agave, and we stood there for three days, and when I looked at the people and the priests, the sons of Levi [one] there found. |

And I sent for Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, and Elnathan, and Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and Meshullam - main and Ioyariva and Elnathan - scientists; |

For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken to the king, said hand of our God for all that seek him [with] the good and all that forsake him - his power and his anger! |

So we fasted and asked our God about this, and he heard us.

Then I separated from the chiefs of the priests twelve [people]: Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and with them ten of their brothers; |

and weighed unto them the silver, and gold, and vessels --All donated [to] the house of our God, which the king and his counselors, and his princes, and all Israel, [there] were present. |

And put your hands on their weight: silver - six hundred and fifty talents, and silver vessels a hundred talents, of gold - a hundred talents; |
27
|
and bowls of gold - twenty, of a thousand drams, and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold. |
28
|
And I said to them - you are holy unto the LORD, and the vessels - and the silver and gold - a freewill offering to the Lord God of your fathers. |
29
|
Watch ye, and keep [it], until you weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and the heads of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the LORD. |

And the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver and the gold and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem; and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and by lying in wait for us on the way. |

And we came to Jerusalem, and stayed there for three days. |

On the fourth day we passed the weight of the silver and the gold and the vessels in our on hand Meremoth the house of God, the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, the Levites . |

All account and weighing. And the weight was written at the same time. |

Those who came from the captivity of immigrants brought a burnt offering to God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve male goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering to the Lord. |

And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's satraps and the governors beyond the river, and they furthered the people and God's house. |
