Hunger increased on the ground.
And when they ate the bread that was brought from Egypt, then their father said to them: "Go again, buy us some food."
And Judas said to him, saying: This man decisively announced to us, saying: "Do not come to me on your face, unless your brother is with you."
If you send our brother with us, then let us go and buy you food,
But if you do not send, we will not go, for that man said to us, "Do not come to me on your face, unless your brother is with you."
th Israel said: Why did you do such harm to me, telling the man that you have a brother?
th They said: This man questioned us about us and about our kinship, saying: is your father still alive? Do you have a brother? We told him about these questions. Could we know what he will say: Bring your brother?
And Judah said to Israel his father, Let the boy go with me, and we will rise and go, and we will live and we will not die, and we, and you, and our children;
I am responsible for him, you will demand from my hands; If I do not bring him to you and set him before your face, then I will remain guilty before you all the days of your life;
If we did not hesitate, we would already go two times.

eleven Israel, their father, said to them: "If so, then do this: take with you the fruits of this land and give that man some balm and some honey, styrax and incense, pistachios and almonds;
Take another silver in your hand; And the silver, put back into the opening of your sacks, return with your hands: perhaps this is an oversight;
And take your brother, and, rising up, go again to that man;
And God Almighty let you find mercy from a man so that he will let you and your other brother and Benjamin go, and if I already have no children, then I will be childless.

And these people took these gifts, and they took their silver twice, Benjamin, and got up, went to Egypt and stood before Joseph.
And Joseph saw Benjamin among them, and said unto the captain of his house, Bring these people into the house, and slay any of the cattle, and prepare, for these men will eat with me at noon.
th And the man did as Joseph said, and the man brought these men into the house of Joseph.
And these men were frightened that they brought them into the house of Joseph, and said, "This is for the silver that was returned to our sacks first, they brought us in to scold us and attack us, and take us into slavery and our asses."
And they approached the head of the house of Joseph, and began to speak to him at the door of the house,
And they said: Listen, my lord, we have come before to buy food,
And it came to pass that when we came to lodging for the night, and opened our sacks, that is the silver of everyone in the hole of his sack, our money is according to its weight, and we return it with our own hands;
And to buy food we brought another silver in our hands, we do not know who put our silver in our bags.
He said: be still, do not be afraid; Your God and the God of your father has given you a treasure in your sacks; Your silver has reached me. And he brought to them Simeon.
And the man brought these men into the house of Joseph, and gave water, and they washed their feet; And gave the ass their donkeys.
And they prepared gifts for Joseph's coming at noon, for they heard that there would be bread there.

th And Joseph came home; And they brought to him the gifts that were in their hands, and worshiped him to the earth.
th He asked them about their health and said: Is your father healthy, the elder you mentioned? Is he still alive?
They said: Your servant is well, our father; still alive. And they bowed down and bowed.
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw Benjamin, his brother, the son of his mother, and said, "Is this your younger brother, of whom you told me?" And he said: "May the mercy of God be with you, my son!"
thirty And Joseph hastily withdrew, because his love for his brother was boiling, and he was ready to cry, and he entered the inner room and cried there.
And he washed his face, went out, and sealed himself, and said: Serve the food.
And they gave it to him, especially to them, and to the Egyptians who dined with him, especially, for the Egyptians can not eat with the Jews, because this is an abomination to the Egyptians.
And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth, and they marveled at one another.
And the food was sent to them from him, and the share of Benjamin was five times larger than the shares of each of them. They drank, and they drank enough with him.
