Index Next chapter
Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy my prayer,
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now,
being sure that he who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ,

as well as for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.
God - a witness that I love all of you the love of Jesus Christ;

and I pray, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment,
so, that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
eleven filled with the fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

I wish you, brethren, that ye may know that my circumstances have served to the furtherance of the gospel,
So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and all the rest,
and most of the brothers in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
Some, however, envy and strife, but others from good will preach Christ.
Some preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains;
and others - out of love, knowing that I am set for defense of the gospel.
What then? Whatever preached Christ, pretense or in truth, I and the joy, and I will rejoice,
For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
when my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed not, but with all boldness, now as always, Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

For to me - Christ and to die - acquisition.
If you live in the flesh [gives] the fruit of my labor, I do not know what to choose.
I am hard and having a desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better;
abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
And, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
That your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus through me by my coming to you again.

Only live worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, striving together for the faith of the gospel,
and do not fear anything adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you - salvation. And that of God,
because you have given in the behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him
thirty Having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear about me.
