(80-1) ^^ To the chief Musician. At Gath gun. . A Psalm of Asaph ^^ (80-2) Sing joyfully to God our strength; shout the God of Jacob;
(80-3) Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery;
(80-4) Blow the trumpet in the new moon, in the time, the day of our festival;
(80-5) because it's the law for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
(80-6) This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out of the land of Egypt, where I heard a language that I understood not:
(80-7), `I took off ramen its severity, and his hands were delivered from the pots.
(80-8) In distress you called me, and I delivered thee; of thunder I heard you at the waters of Meribah experienced you.

(80-9) Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel! Oh, if you had listened to me!
(80-10) Yes, you shall have no other God, and worship no alien.
(80-11) I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. "
eleven (80-12) But my people did not listen to my voice, and Israel would none of me;
(80-13) So I gave them up unto their own hearts, and they walked in their own counsels.
(80-14) O that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
(80-15) I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries:
(80-16) who hate the Lord should have submitted themselves to them, but their time would be forever;
(80-17) I have fed them with the fat of wheat, and have satisfied them with honey out of the rock.
