Methodical instructions were developed by the Limited Liability Company "Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies - VNIIGAZ", the Energy Department of OAO "GAZPROM".

This manual has been developed for use by Gazprom's production, design and scientific organizations in the design and construction of existing facilities equipped with a frequency-controlled asynchronous electric drive with a power of up to 500 kW in order to increase the efficiency of technological processes in the gas industry.

The departmental guideline document "Methodological guidelines for the selection and use of an asynchronous frequency-controlled electric drive with a power of up to 500 kW" outlines the main requirements and calculated ratios for the selection and application of a frequency-controlled asynchronous electric drive, its components and devices. The management was developed by a team of employees of VNIIGAZ. Developers: Komyagin AF, chief research officer, doctor of technical sciences, academician of AGN, Shtin EA, leading engineer. Development manager: VA Medvedev, head of the laboratory of integrated systems of electric drive in technological processes, VNIIGAZ.
