24.1 Introduction to the reference symbol combination

Link to a combination of characters - is an SGML construct that references a character from the document character set.

This version of HTML supports several sets of references to the combination of characters:

The following sections provide comprehensive lists of references to the combination of symbols. Although the names of the agreement [ISO10646] are written in uppercase, we transformed them into the bottom for ease of reading.

24.2 References to ISO 8859-1 character sets

The links listed in this section to refer to the characters, numeric equivalents should already be supported by corresponding HTML 2.0 specification user agents. To access the division sign (÷) is much more convenient to use the link & divide ;, than & # 247 ;.

To support such combinations of named user agents need only recognize the names of objects and convert them into a set of characters [ISO88591] .

Glyph 65533 (FFFD hexadecimal code) is the last valid character set UCS-2. 65534 (hexadecimal code FFFE) is reserved as a version of the non-breaking space zero width with a permutation of bytes to determine the byte order. Glyph 65535 (FFFF hex code) has not been appointed.

24.3 Links to the characters, mathematical symbols, and Greek letters

24.4 Links to important symbols for marking and internationalization characters

This section lists the references to the symbols to indicate important to mark characters (the same as in HTML 2.0 and 3.2) to denote spaces or dashes.
