WATERPROOFING MASTICS

The name of the inventor: Afanasyev S.V. (RU); Makhlai V.N. (RU)
The name of the patent holder: OJSC "TogliattiAzot" (RU)
Address for correspondence: 445653, Samara Region, Togliatti, Povolzhskoye Sh., 32, TogliattiAzot, S.V. Afanasiev
The effective date of the patent: 2003.04.23

The invention relates to an anticorrosive mastic composition used to protect metal surfaces from atmospheric influences. The proposed waterproofing mastic includes butyl rubber component, petroleum resin, solvent and additionally bitumen, with the mastic "Germatabutil" as the butyl rubber component. The technical task of the invention is to simplify the conditions for the preparation of anticorrosive mastics, to optimize its composition and to improve quality.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to waterproofing mastics used for the anticorrosion protection of metal surfaces against atmospheric influences.

It is known [RU 2063410, cl. C 09 D 123/22, 5/34, publ. 10.07.96 g.] Mastic composition containing, in mass%:

Butyl rubber 5-12

Lacquer "Corc" 28-43

Spent iron oxide

Catalyst IM-603 21.5-35.0

Fraction of the ultimate hydrocarbons

With a boiling point of 110-180ºС 17-38,5

Its shortcomings include low frost resistance and weather resistance of protective coatings.

It is known [SU 1740394, cl. C 09 D 123/22] the composition for an anticorrosive coating, comprising, in parts by weight:

Mechanically deprotected butyl rubber 100

Oil Polymer Resin 14-28

Pigment 100-228

Filler 72-171

Organic solvent 600-900

Among its shortcomings, it can be noted significant energy costs during the mechano-destruction of butyl rubber in the process of making the composition, reduced water resistance of the applied coating, high cost of the finished product.

The technical task of the invention is to simplify the conditions for the preparation of anticorrosive mastics, to optimize its composition and to improve quality.

The stated task is solved by the fact that the energy-consuming and long-lasting stage of mehanodextraction of butyl rubber is excluded from the technological process, the content of the petroleum resin is increased in the mastic composition and bitumen is additionally introduced into it.

At the same time, as the butyl rubber component, the mastic "Germabutil" was used, containing, in mass%:

Butyl Rubber BK 1675 With 17-30

Filler 15-35

Solvent Remaining

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The essence of the invention is a waterproofing mastic comprising butyl rubber component, petroleum resin, filler and solvent, with butyl rubber composition being the butyl rubber component, wt%

Butyl Rubber BK1675C 17-30

Filler 15-35

Solvent Remaining

As filler - asbestos, as a solvent - a mixture of an oil solvent with another hydrocarbon solvent in a ratio of 2: 1, as a petroleum polymer resin - petroleum resin grade "B" and additionally bitumen with the following content of components, wt.%:

The above butyl rubber component 5-20

Petroleum polymer grade "B" 3-20

Bitumen 25-45

Asbestos 2-7

A mixture of oil solvents

And a hydrocarbon solvent

In the ratio 2: 1 by weight 30-59

The invention is illustrated by an example.

For the production of waterproofing mastics used butyl rubber mastic "Germabutil", which meets the requirements of TU 5775-000-11035786-97 and petroleum resin grade "B", produced by TU 38.10916-79.

Bitumen was used as bitumen for oil construction in accordance with GOST 6617 and roofing according to GOST 9548.

The test of waterproofing mastics was carried out according to generally accepted standards and procedures.

Example.

In an enameled reactor, a volume of 0.4 m 3 , equipped with a frame stirrer, jacket for steam heating and a condenser-condenser, is charged with 110 kg of a solvent mixture of petroleum and white spirit solvents in a ratio of 2: 1 by weight, 85 kg of bitumen and 25 kg of petroleum resin And with vigorous stirring, the contents are heated to 76 ± 2 ° C at a rate of 1 ° C per minute.

The reaction mixture is kept at this temperature for 30 minutes until the bitumen and petroleum resin are completely dissolved and 10 kg of comminuted asbestos is charged to the reactor. Stirring is continued for 15 minutes and the temperature of the cold water supply to the jacket of the reactor is reduced to 60 ± 2 ° C. After this, 20 kg of mastic "Germabutil" is introduced into it, the reaction mixture is cooled to 30-35 ° C and homogenized for 2 hours.

Ready waterproof mastic is packaged in a container for storage.

Instead of white spirit, other hydrocarbon solvents can be used - C4 150/200 nefras, jet fuel, technical kerosene, etc.

From the description of the invention and the table, it can be seen that, according to the claimed technical solution, it is possible to obtain a high-quality waterproofing mastic with the necessary set of performance indicators.
