The present composition relates to alkyd paint materials for the production of coatings for wood and metal. Alkyd paint composition comprising, as film-forming alkyd resin, highly active hydroxyl-containing oligomer, pigments, fillers, organic solvent, additives, water. As highly active hydroxyl oligomer composition comprising the oligomer, characterized hydroxyl value of 140-180 mg KOH / g, the molecular weight of 1000-3500 with a Brookfield viscosity of 500 ± 250 cps. The technical result of the invention is to provide an alkyd paint formulations with a reduced content of organic solvents, with good storage stability, high frost resistance, which allows to obtain coatings with improved physical and mechanical properties.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to alkyd paint compositions used for the production of coatings for wood, metal and other building substrates.

The possibility of varying the composition of alkyd resins and coatings properties, derived from them, but also the availability of basic feedstocks provided the widespread use of these resins in the paint industry and a wide range of application of alkyd paints and varnishes. Known alkyd paint compositions include alkyd resin, pigments, fillers, additives and solvent [1].

Alkyd paints have a good set of features: able to dry naturally, to give a solid, elastic, resistant to water, corrosive liquids, atmospheric conditions of the film [2].

The disadvantage of alkyd paint materials is the significant content of the composition of organic solvents required to ensure good paint properties, however, adversely affecting humans and the environment.

One way of overcoming this drawback is to replace part of the solvent with water, aqueous emulsions by creating alkyd type "oil in water" and "water in oil".

For emulsion "oil in water" requires the use of high performance surfactants, significant energy costs, complex multistep techniques. Thus resulting materials have low resistance to frost and resistant aggregate, provide coatings slow drying in air with low hardness and water resistance [3].

Songs of "water in oil" allow to obtain coatings with satisfactory properties.

The closest the technical essence to the claimed invention is an alkyd paint composition [4], including, wt.%:

- Film-forming 40-60

(50% strength alkyd resin dissolved in organic solvents, TU 6-10-612-74)

- pigments

titanium dioxide 8-14

ultramarine 0.05-0.2

- fillers

talc 2-5

chalk 2-5

- Additives 1,01-5,04

- Water up to 100

However, the coating materials obtained on the basis of the composition, are characterized by poor storage stability, low frost resistance, and based thereon the coating - high hardness and insufficient impact strength.

An object of the present invention is to provide an alkyd enamel with a reduced content of organic solvents, and good stability in storage, increased resistance to frost, allowing to obtain coatings with improved physical and mechanical properties.

The problem is solved in that the alkyd paint composition further comprises a highly active hydroxyl oligomer characterized by a hydroxyl number of 140-180 mg KOH / g, the molecular weight of 1000-3500 with a Brookfield viscosity of 500 ± 250 cps, in the following ratio, wt.%:

- Alkyd resin (calculated as 100% m.d.n.v.) 16,0-30,0

- Highly active hydroxyl oligomer 0,3-2,7

(Based on 100% m.d.n. in.)

- Pigments 5,0-25,0

- Organic solvent 14,0-25,0

- Fillers 0-20,0

- Additives 2.0-4.5

- Water the rest

As an alkyd resin used Varnishes, for example, PF-060, PF-053 (TU 6-10-612-76 with izm.6-8), PF-064 (TU 6-27-215-202).

As highly active hydroxyl oligomer is used, for example, brand resin JA-250-3 ™, grade LPR76 imported or their analogs.

As the pigment used titanium dioxide, for example, the brand F-02 (GOST 9808-84) or foreign production, iron oxide pigments according to GOST 18172-80 and TU 6-10-602-86, phthalocyanine pigments and others.

Furthermore, the proposed composition may contain fillers if necessary. As fillers, calcium carbonate is used, such marks omiakarb 2GU, 5GU imported, chalk and others.

As an additive proposed paint composition may contain a desiccant - salts of metals (manganese, lead, zinc, cobalt, calcium, etc.) Or a naphthenic carboxylic acids, for example, according to GOST 1003-73 and TU 6-27-68-93 TU 6-10-1641-86 TU 6-21-0204150-1-90 and others.

As the organic solvent used is xylene (GOST 9410-78, GOST 9946-76), Nefras C 4 -150 / 200 (TU 38-1011026-85), mineral spirits (GOST 3134-78), orthoxylene TU 38.101254-72, solvent (TU 38.101809-90) or mixtures thereof.

Preparation of paint composition of the present invention comprises the following steps:

- Preparation of alkyd varnish;

- Preparation of the pigment paste with pigment grind alkyd varnish to the desired degree of grinding (25-40 microns);

- Preparation of the pigment paste combining enamel alkyd varnish with stirring for 15-20 min followed by highly active hydroxyl oligomer, additives and water at a reduced mixing speed;

- Mixing thus prepared alkyd enamel for 30 min;

- Production of alkyd enamel type.

An embodiment of the invention shown in Example 1.

example 1

When the ambient temperature when the stirrer dissolvers preparing pigment pastes kneading alkyd resin solution (varnish PF-060, PF-053) pigment and extender for 30-40 min. Then kneading the pigment paste is applied to the bead mill to disperse. pigment paste temperature should not exceed 50 ° C. As the grinding media used glass or ceramic beads.

Preparation enamel produced in the mixer. Initially, the mixer is pumped prescription remaining amount of the alkyd resin solution and then mixing device while the loading additives and pigment paste. The contents of the mixer was stirred for 15-20 min, a sample is taken to determine a "degree of fineness." When the resin mixer is slowly introduced JA 250-3 ™, and stirring was conducted for 10-15 min. Then slowly in a thin stream prescription amount of water introduced by the mixer. After loading all components stirring is continued for at least 30 min.

Ready enamel checked for compliance in terms of:

- Conditional viscosity, type V3-246;

a nozzle diameter of 4 mm at a temperature of (20 ± 0,5) ºC, with - 70-120;

- Mass fraction of solids,% - 44-50.

If necessary, the solvent is added to obtain the desired performance.

Examples of compositions and their properties obtained on the basis of materials and coatings are shown in Tables 1 and 2.

From Table. 1 and 2 that the proposed composition of the paint allows to obtain materials and coatings on their base, surpassing the prototype for the storage stability and frost resistance, hardness and impact strength.
