The invention may be used in internal combustion engines. The process for producing technical hydrogen and its use in internal combustion engines contains thermochemical decomposition of water loop wherein the heat source for the reaction and thermochemical hydrogen consumer is the internal combustion engine. Engine exhaust gases heat the reactor to 900-950 o C, cutting and feeding the hydrocarbon fuel include supplying water from the tank. The separated hydrogen is cooled to 450-480 o C and is supplied to the engine intake conduit, where it mixes with the lean fuel mixture. The technical result is to obtain a cheap and environmentally friendly fuel for road transport and to increase the capacity of the car and reducing the cost of road transport.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to methods for producing technical hydrogen and its use as a fuel in internal combustion engines.

Known methods for producing hydrogen by reacting water with aluminum amalgam or metal selected from the group - beryllium, zirconium, manganese, titanium, chromium at an elevated temperature [1]; and aluminum and gallium and additives indium, tin [2]; and alloys containing lithium, sodium or potassium. [3]

The main disadvantages of these methods is a high consumption of expensive alloys and rare metals, storing them in sealed containers or under an inert gas blanket.

Known thermochemical process of producing hydrogen from water supply heat from the outside at 800-1000 o C [4].

The main disadvantages of this method are the availability of a stand-alone heat source, the need for processing and storage of hydrogen, which significantly increases the cost of its cost.

The most close technical decision to the claimed invention is a process for producing technical hydrogen and its use in internal combustion engines, comprising a thermo-chemical decomposition of water loop wherein the heat source for the reaction and thermochemical hydrogen consumer of the internal combustion engine is [5]. However, the known solution does not ensure the effective operation of the internal combustion engine.

The object of the invention is to get a cheap and environmentally friendly fuel for road transport; to reduce emissions of harmful substances from exhaust gases of cars; reduced by 50-70% hydrocarbon fuel consumption at each vehicle; reduce the cost of road transport.

The problem is solved in that a method for producing hydrogen and its technical use in internal combustion engines comprises a thermochemical decomposition of water cycle, the heat source for the thermochemical reaction and the hydrogen consumer is the combustion engine, the invention of the engine exhaust gases heat the reactor to a temperature of 900-950 o C, reduce the flow of hydrocarbon fuel and include supplying water from the tank, and the hydrogen highlighted cooled to 450-480 o C and is supplied to the engine intake conduit, where it mixes with the lean fuel mixture.

The drawing shows a schematic diagram of an apparatus for implementing the method for obtaining and using hydrogen.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY AND ITS USE In internal combustion engines

Schematic diagram of the device comprises a combustion engine 1; the combustible mixture inlet conduit 2; air filter 3; hydrogen inlet conduit 4; thermochemical reactor 5; a water supply conduit 6; water tank 7; exhaust pipe exhaust gases 8.

When starting and warming up the engine 1, the exhaust gases having a temperature of about 1200 o C, of the engine through the outlet pipe 8 in a shirt received thermochemical reactor 5 heated to 900-950 o C temperature and fed further to the outlet conduit.

During heating the reactor to 900-950 o C reduce feeding hydrocarbon fuel and include water supply from the water tank 7 via a line 6. Water, heated to 450-500 o C, fed into the thermochemical reactor chamber.

As the steam flows through the reagent layer with the hydrogen released technical exit temperature of about 900 o C. Technical hydrogen cooled to 450-480 o C and fed via line 4 into the engine intake pipe 2, where it is mixed with the lean fuel mixture entering the pipeline 2.

The combustible mixture containing from 4 to 18% hydrogen, depending on the required load is supplied to the engine cylinders.

Application of this method of obtaining and using technical hydrogen provide affordable and reliable source of heat received from the internal combustion engine, at minimum cost.

The optimum size of the reactor provides sufficient yield of hydrogen to hydrocarbon fuels to reduce consumption by 50-70%. There is a cheap option available with a high degree of regeneration reagents. Reagent regeneration is performed when the engine exhaust gases containing 1-2% CO and 1-1,5% CO 2, which are fed into the reactor.

The proposed method is rather simple technologically, easily controllable and safe, since the volume control output is regulated hydrogen feed volume of water to the reactor and the reactor is sufficient to switch off the engine or disable the flow of water.

Application of this method of producing and using hydrogen provides a cheap and environmentally friendly fuel for road transport; to reduce emissions of harmful substances from exhaust gases of cars; reduced by 50-70% hydrocarbon fuel consumption at each vehicle; reduce the cost of road transport.
