Starting date of the patent: 2005.02.28
The invention relates to adhesive compositions based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and may be used in the printing industry for gluing paper, cardboard and perfect binding.
The object of the invention is to increase the bond strength and the expansion of the functional capabilities of glue, including the provision of opportunities for the application of adhesive paper sizing petroleum resins. The problem is solved in that the hot melt adhesive contains ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, paraffin, stabilizer, and further comprises a derivative of a diisocyanate - linear hydroxyl polyester urethane.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to adhesive compositions based on ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and may be used in the printing industry for gluing paper, cardboard and perfect binding.
Known hot melt adhesive - a copyright certificate of the USSR №433195, M. Cl. C 09 J 138/08, 1974 comprising an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer with a vinyl acetate content of 25-32%.
Analog disadvantage is that the short-lived glued blocks, as characterized by the instability of the properties over time.
The closest to the claimed is a hot melt adhesive - RF patent №2112005, M. Cl. C 09 J 123/08, 1998, comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer 11-25%, 10-26% styrene-butadiene thermoplastic elastomer, glycerol ester of rosin 26-34%, 28-36% paraffin, terpene oil 6-3,6% Stabiliser 0.3-0.7%.
The disadvantages of the prototype include:
- adhesive contains large amounts of rosin and paraffin, therefore, can not have a high elasticity that is indirectly confirmed by evaluation of adhesive elasticity corner expanded. In this case, an angle block uncovering consider the average of 5 measurements uncovering the angle at which there is no cracking of the adhesive layer;
- judging by the composition, the adhesive comprises rosin esters, therefore more suitable for the prevailing paper only with rosin sizing.
The object of the invention is to increase the bond strength and the expansion of the functional capabilities of glue, including the provision of opportunities for the application of adhesive paper sizing petroleum resins.
Object of the invention is achieved in that a hot melt adhesive comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, for example a mass fraction of 26-30%, the wax and a stabilizer according to the invention further comprises derivatives of diisocyanates, particularly linear hydroxyl polyester urethane with the following ratio of components in pbw :
The essence of the invention is illustrated by concrete examples of its implementation.
Chemical name is tris- (2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl) phosphite) - in a composition comprising a copolymer of vinyl acetate, such as vinyl acetate mass fraction of 26-30%, the wax and a stabilizer such as Irgafos 168 was taken as the base formulation. The content of vinyl acetate is confirmed by regulatory documents (TU 6-05-1636-97) and the certificate obtained at the factory JSC "Sevilen" Kazan. Irgafos 168 stabilizer produced LLC "Tomsk Petrochemical Plant" Tomsk.
The mixer at a temperature of 100 ° C was charged with paraffin 30 wp and Irgafos 168 stabilizer in an amount of 0.8 pbw After melting, stirring was charged with ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer 70 wp And then at a temperature of 140-150 ° C is introduced linear hydroxyl polyester urethane 13 wp and stirred until homogeneous. After passing through the glue extruder granules was obtained as an arbitrary shape.
Hot melt adhesive has a high strength, especially for lightweight coated papers, is not subject to degradation in the molten state for more than two hours, the application of hot melt adhesive does not require changes in the design of the adhesive system, the adhesive has a lower cost compared to foreign counterparts. Clay - melt can be used for bonding in the manufacture of paperboard packaging products.
These means perfect binding units were tested. The strength of perfect binding was assessed by stress tear-out sheet from the block. Tear-out force of the sheet was calculated by the formula P = F / a, where F (n) - the force with which the sheet is pulled out from the block; and (cm) - width of the block. Tests were conducted on a universal testing machine SP 5158. Performance test results (strength) for each specific example showing the number of components in the unit value and various types of paper are shown in Table 1.I Table 1 shows the strength values for the above prior art types of paper.
CLAIM
Hot melt adhesive to perfect binding, comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, paraffin wax, a stabilizer, characterized in that it further comprises a diisocyanate derivative - a linear polyester urethane hydroxyl, with the following ratio of components, parts by weight :
