Usage: for gluing together newsprint packaging, paper products, cardboard, labeling. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: The contact adhesive contains an emulsion of a copolymer of methyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and methacrylic acid 22-50% (dry matter), rosin esterified with glycerol or pentaerythritol to an acid number of 100-120 mg KOH / g and saponified to pH 8-10 2-9 %, Stabilizer - polyvinyl alcohol 0,3 - 10% (on dry matter) and water - the rest. Characteristics of the adhesive: the time of bonding is 1 to 4 minutes, the adhesive capacity is 20 kg / cm.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to materials used in industrial production for gluing newsprint packing, articles made of paper, cardboard, labeling, etc.

Starch adhesives are widely used for gluing paper containers, which is explained by cheapness compared to synthetic ones, such as for example PVA emulsions, polyvinyl alcohol-based adhesives, latexes, styrene-butadiene rubber, urea and melamine-formaldehyde resins, etc. 1. Starch adhesives have a number Disadvantages, in particular, the setting time of adhesives based on starch is not sufficient to obtain high-quality products and create production equipment for its production.

To glue the paper, glues based on dextrins, products of cleavage and hydrolysis of starches, are also used. For example, the Japanese glue Nakan (base sample). They are distinguished by high solubility, low viscosity, short drying time, which is very important, because the drying speed is controlled by the speed of the production line. But the production of dextrins is limited, glues based on them are expensive, and their shelf life is limited, which is a disadvantage in the implementation and application of the product.

Known 2 adhesive composition, capable of spraying. The composition (mass fraction of solid matter is 10-30%) contains 25-30% of acrylic polymer obtained by emulsion polymerization, 10 250 of a tackifier, a volatile organic solvent and a spray agent and has good tacky properties. As a tackifier, terpenophenol resin T-80 and terpene resin PX 1000 are used.

The main disadvantage of this adhesive composition is the use of a volatile organic solvent in the glue recipe, which makes it practically impossible to use it in open production facilities.

The closest to the claimed is the composition of the water-dispersion adhesive with improved adhesion and processing properties ( including dry matter) of 100 chloroprene latex, 5 200 (10 100) suspension or emulsion of a copolymerizable polychloroprene adhesion promoter (PRA) and 0.01 10 (0.03 7) of a water soluble high molecular weight compound, for example hydroxyethylcellulose or PVA.

Gland rosin, hydrogenated or esterified 3 (prototype).

But the production of chloroprene latex is limited, which makes it difficult to organize the production of this glue, and the introduction of prcanophilic products into a composition containing an aqueous medium is hampered by their poor solubility in water and poor copolymerization ability.

The object of the invention is to improve the adhesion properties, stability and increase the manufacturability of manufacturing, application.

The aim is achieved by the fact that the water-soluble contact adhesive based on polymer latex, rosin adhesion promoter and polyvinyl alcohol as a stabilizer contains acrylate copolymer emulsion as a latex and, as an adhesion promoter, esterified with glycerol or pentaerythritol to an acid number of 100 120 rosin after saponification to PH 8 10 in the following relationship,

Acrylate emulsion 60 90

Esterified and saponified to pH 8 10 rosin 5 20

Polyvinyl alcohol, 6% solution in water 5 12

Water remaining

To obtain a contact adhesive, proceed as follows.

Rosin is esterified in conventional manner by glycerol or pentaerythritol in such a way that the acid number of the product is 100-120. To this end, 2.2 2.5% of the weight of rosin of the polyhydric alcohol is introduced into the reaction mass. After cooling, the product obtained is saponified in a known manner with caustic soda to pH 8-10. Simultaneously, a 6% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol is prepared in a mixer in accordance with GOST 10779-78. In the same reactor, with constant stirring, a prepared solution of oxidized esterified rosin is introduced, and the calculated amount of acrylate emulsion according to TU 6-01-186-89. After thorough mixing, the finished contact adhesive is poured into the shipping container.

To use the adhesive, apply in a known way on the surface to be glued with a flywheel, brush, spray through a nozzle, etc.

An example . 20 wt. H of esterified and saponified to pH 8 10 rosin are loaded into the reactor. In this reactor, with constant stirring, 60 wt. Acrylic emulsion, a prepared 6% aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol and 8 wt. H. Of water. The contents are thoroughly mixed at a temperature of 25 ° C. until a uniform mass is formed, analyzed and dispensed into shipping containers. The remaining examples are given in Table 1, and the physico-chemical and physico-mechanical properties are shown in Table 2. The properties of the base sample of the glue and the reference sample are also given here.

CONTACT ADHESIVE

From the data given in tab. 2 it can be seen that glue samples 1 3 having the composition entering the declared limits have the best adhesive capacity.

As a comparison, a sample of glue No. 7 is given. This polyvinyl acetate semi-universal adhesive (PVA), used for gluing products from paper, cardboard, wood, etc. The basic sample is the Japanese Nakan glue, used to pack newsprint. As can be seen from Table. 2, their adhesive ability is lower in comparison with the claimed samples of glue.

The developed adhesive has good adhesion properties, forms a strong, elastic film, which ensures the strength of the paper to be glued. Improved adhesion and technological properties of the glue are provided by the ingredients that make up its composition. In particular, partially esterified saponified rosin provides adhesive properties of the glue, in addition, the presence of alkali in the adhesive accelerates setting, increases the stability of the glue, increases the penetration of the glue into the paper. Acrylic copolymer emulsion strengthens "gluing" properties of glue, promotes formation of a film. Polyvinyl alcohol provides the required viscosity of the product and helps stabilize the emulsion.
