The invention relates to the field of polymer chemistry, in particular to adhesives for adhesive tapes based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticized film materials and can be used in automotive and other transport equipment for insulation of electrical equipment wires, fastening bundles of wires.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the strength and heat resistance of the adhesive bond with the non-adhesive surface (back side) of the PVC adhesive tape. Adhesive for adhesive tapes contains perchlorovinyl resin, plasticizer, adhesive resin, filler, solvent. The glue composition is applied to the PVC base by the roll method, followed by drying the adhesive film. New in glue is the presence of Oligodieneurethaneepoxide PID-ZAK , which makes it possible to improve the insulation quality of the electrical wiring by increasing the strength of adhesive bonding of the adhesive tape to the glue surface, the life of the insulation of the electrical wiring due to an increase in the heat resistance of the adhesion to the non-adhesive surface, and to eliminate the scarce chloroprene rubber from the adhesive formulation.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to the field of polymer chemistry, adhesives for the production of adhesive tapes based on polyvinyl chloride plasticized film materials and can be used in automotive and other techniques for insulation of electrical equipment wires, fastening bundles of wires, closing channels through which electrical wires pass. The ability of PVC adhesive tape to create a sealed and reliable insulation depends on the quality of the adhesive applied to the PVC substrate.
The main requirements for glue are:
- The ability to provide a strong adhesive bonding of the adhesive tape to the back (non-adhesive) side of the adhesive tape, provided that it is spiral wound onto the electrical wire;
- Keep these properties after exposure to elevated temperatures ( +100 o C ).
PVC insulating tape is known, the adhesive of which consists of perchlorovinyl resin, plasticizers, tackifying additives (natural rosin), solvent [1].
Operating experience has shown that at temperatures above +50 o C the adhesive applied on the PVC substrate loses its adhesive properties, which leads to loss of the insulation tightness and shortened service life.
A sticky PVC tape of the firm "Gareks" (Italy) is known [2].
The maximum temperature of use of the adhesive of this tape is +80 o C.
The closest technical essence of the invention to the invention is a PVC tape, a sticky insulating type - 70 for VAZ vehicles [3], an adhesive that has the following composition.
A disadvantage of the adhesive of the known tape is the low strength of the adhesive bond to the back (non-adhesive) side of the adhesive tape both at room temperature and at elevated ( +100 o C ).
The object of the invention is to increase the strength and heat resistance of the adhesive bond with the non-adhesive surface (back side) of the PVC adhesive tape.
The aim is achieved by the fact that the adhesive containing perchlorovinyl resin, plasticizer (di-2-ethyl hexyl phthalate, tricresyl phosphate), additive, increased tackiness (natural rosin, petroleum resin, filler (chalk, talc), solvent (butyl acetate, ethyl acetate), contains Addition Oligodieneurethaneepoxide, PID ZAK at the following ratio of components, weight % :
- Perchlorovinyl Resin - 25-28
- Plasticizer - 22-26
- Additive, which increases the tackiness (natural rosin, petroleum resin) - 8-10
- Filler (hydrophobic chalk, talc) - 0,5-5,0
- Oligodienurethaneepoxide PID ZAK - 3-6
- The solvent (butyl acetate, ethyl acetate) is the rest
Used in the composition of the adhesive composition oligodienurethane epoxide PID ZAK is a polydienene urethane with end epoxy groups.
Comparative analysis with the prototype allows us to conclude that the proposed composition of the adhesive differs from the known by the presence of a new component, namely rubber of the low molecular weight brand PDI-ZAK . Analysis of known compositions of adhesives for PVC adhesive tapes used to insulate electrical equipment wires showed that the claimed composition of the adhesive differs from that known by the introduction of a new component, namely, the rubber of the polydieneurethane brand PDI-ZAK . Thus, the proposed technical solution meets the criterion of "novelty". The components of the known adhesives do not adhere to the reverse side of the adhesive tape, which is observed in the proposed solution, namely: a significant increase in the strength of the adhesive bond with the non-adhesive surface both under normal conditions and after exposure to an elevated temperature ( + 100 ° C ). Thus, the new component imparts new properties to the glue, which makes it possible to conclude that the claimed solution meets the criterion of "essential differences". For the experimental verification of the claimed composition, 11 mixtures of adhesive were prepared.
Production of glue in an anchor-type mixer equipped with a jacket. The PID-ZAK rubber was dissolved in ethyl acetate and, together with the calculated amount of the solvent, was charged into a mixer. Then, the shredded rosin (petroleum resin) was loaded. The components were stirred for 3 hours . Perchlorovinyl resin was charged into the prepared solution for 1 hour , after which the mixture was stirred for 3 hours , then the plasticizer was loaded into the mixer and the mixture was stirred for an additional hour . Total time of glue preparation 8 h . The adhesive was applied to a PVC substrate on a special machine in the following mode:
Temperature along the zones of the drying channel
30 ° to 40 ° C
50 ° to 65 ° C
45 ° -55 ° C
30 ° to 40 ° C
= 5-7 m / min.
The adhesive layer is 70 ± 5 g / m 2 .
PVC backing was made according to the recipe: PVC C70 - 68.5 wt.%, DOP - 28.5 wt. % , Calcium stearate - 1.5 wt. % , Lead silicate - 1.1 - 1.2 wt. % , Dye - 0.5 wt. % .
From Table. 1 it follows that the adhesive of the proposed composition (paragraphs 2-9 ) has significantly higher adhesion properties, which are preserved at a higher level than in the prototype, both at room temperature and after exposure to an elevated temperature ( +100 o C ) :
The strength of the adhesive bond to the non-adhesive surface after 24 hours of formation is 2.5-2.8 H / cm width, for the prototype, the same figure is 2.3-2.5 H / cm ; ( Table 2, item 1 ), furthermore, for the samples of the adhesive tape with the claimed adhesive, an increase in this index is observed and after 72 hours its value is 3.6-4.2 N / cm . For the prototype, the same figure remains at the level of 2.5-2.7 H / cm .
The value of the adhesion index at unwinding (unwinding speed) after holding the rolls of adhesive tape at +100 o C for 16 + 0.5 hours was 0.15-0.21 cm / min ; Which is an order of magnitude lower than that of the prototype ( 3.0-6.0 cm / min ), ( Table 2 , paragraph 2 ), which indicates a higher thermal resistance of the adhesive for the adhesive tape.
Using the invention will increase:
The quality of the insulation of the electrical wiring due to the increase in the strength of the adhesion of the adhesive tape to the non-adhesive surface.
The service life of the insulation of the electrical wiring due to the increase of the heat resistance of the adhesive bond with the non-adhesive surface.
Eliminate from the formulation of scarce chloroprene rubber.
