Adhesive prepared by saponifying polyacrylonitrile successive aqueous potassium or sodium hydroxide or a modification thereof, and an aqueous formaldehyde solution and / or polyfunctional halogenated compound at 70-150 o C and a pressure of 1-10 atm, respectively at a molar ratio of polyacrylonitrile: alkali: halogenated polyfunctional compound: formaldehyde 1: 0.3-1.2: 0-0.8: 0-0.1 and possible future introduction of a filler and, if necessary, removal of water or the addition. The invention allows for a synthetic adhesive with high bonding strength, operating temperature range is -10 - +95 o C, the adhesive can be stored and transported at a temperature of -50 - +60 o C, after thawing, the adhesive retains its properties completely.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the field of synthetic adhesive properties and composition of which allow its use in the food and other industries for labeling on glass, metal, plastic, paper, cardboard and other types of packaging, but also for bonding paper, paper and cardboard.

BACKGROUND

It is known that widely used in the food industry and printing received dextrin glues, produced by hydrolysis of starch catalysed by acids. Clay is prepared immediately before use by mixing it with water at a temperature of 60-65 o C and stirring until a homogeneous mass within a few hours. ( "Bookbinding processes. Processing instructions", Moscow, 1982).

The disadvantages of the method and composition of the resulting dextrin glue are the use of food and a limited shelf life. Storage and transport temperature should be no lower than 0 o C. Moreover, after drying the adhesive becomes insoluble in water, which makes the flushing labels with returnable containers.

Known adhesive prepared by treating a polyacrylonitrile fiber waste at a temperature of (90 ± 5) o C and under continuous stirring the polymer material 10-12% sodium hydroxide at a weight ratio of the following components: acrylic fiber waste: NaOH 2: 1-1, 2 (RU 2135539).

The disadvantage of this glue are low adhesive properties of the adhesive layer with the labeling on the glass and metal packaging types. In some cases, the labels come unstuck with a slight mechanical action. Moreover, the use of industrial waste in the synthesis of polyacrylonitrile fibers results in a glue contaminated both mechanical impurities and the chemical compounds forming part modifiers and dyes used in production of fibers. This results in a composition with a non-adhesive, which leads to deterioration of the physico-chemical and performance characteristics.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Object of the invention is to provide a composition and method for producing a synthetic adhesive which provides high quality adhesive and exhibits improved performance.

The solution of this problem is achieved in that the synthetic adhesive contains hydrolyzed aqueous solution of potassium or sodium hydroxide polyacrylonitrile, modified aqueous solution of formaldehyde and / or halogenated polyfunctional compound at a molar ratio of polyacrylonitrile, respectively: alkalis: Halogen polyfunctional compound: formaldehyde is 1: 0.3-1, 2: 0-0.8: 0-0.1, water and possibly a filler in the following ratio, wt.%:

  • The above modified hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile - 20-80
  • Filler - 0-30
  • Water - 20-80

A process for preparing the above synthetic adhesive composition is polyacrylonitrile sequential hydrolysis with aqueous sodium or potassium hydroxide solution and a modification thereof, or aqueous formaldehyde solution and / or polyfunctional halogenated compound at 70-150 o C and a pressure of 1-10 atm, respectively at a molar ratio of polyacrylonitrile: alkali: halogenated polyfunctional compound: formaldehyde is 1: 0.3-1.2: 0-0.8: 0-0.1 and further the possible introduction of a filler and, if necessary, and the removal of water or the addition.

Halogen as a polyfunctional compound may be used, for example, esters of bromo- or chloroacetic acid, epichlorohydrin or epibromohydrin, or etilenbromgidrin chloroethanol.

The filler used conventionally used for such adhesives, fillers, such as such as calcium carbonate, talc, titanium oxide.

For use of the method preferably 10-45% aqueous formaldehyde solution.

Proposed composition and method for producing allow adhesive with high bonding strength, operating temperature range of -10 o C - +90 o C. The adhesive can be stored and transported at a temperature of -50 o C - +60 o C. After thawing, the adhesive retains its properties completely.

The test results confirming the presence of improved physical, chemical and performance properties of the synthetic adhesive

For testing were chosen glue Party in accordance with GOST 9980.1 - 86. Research on conservation adhesive ability in the temperature range of -15 o C - +95 o C were carried out in accordance with GOST 7950 - 77. Sample adhesive in an amount of 200 g was heated or cooled to the desired temperature and held for 48 hours. Then, according to the procedure for writing a strip of paper measuring 10 · 2 cm was applied a thin layer of adhesive, leaving a free end length of 1.2 cm. Then, on the adhesive surface overlap each strip of the same material and the same size and tightly pressed. After a while the paper strip is stratified by holding the free ends of the glue. Exfoliating should be done by paper fibers. The results are summarized in the table below.

Samples of the adhesive in an amount of 200 g of cooled or heated in the temperature range of -50 o C - +60 o C in increments of 10 o C and kept for three days, then incubated at least overnight at room temperature, the cycle was repeated 3 times. Tests were carried out on the adhesive ability of the above procedure. The test results do not differ from the average data shown in the table.
