The invention relates to the deposition of metal coatings on metal surfaces, in particular to chemical gilding, and can be used in microelectronics, jewelery, etc. Dissolution of potassium cyanoaaurate is carried out in a saturated solution of the complexing agent Trilon B and potassium cyanoaaurate with the addition of metal hydroxide capable of forming with the cyanide double complex compounds of the type K m M (CN) n , where M = metal, m = 1,2,3; N = 2,4,6 in an amount of not less than 1/4 mole for each mole of potassium cyanoaaurate used, and then demineralized water is added to the solution to the working concentrations. The technical result: the method makes it possible to obtain a gilding solution that allows the deposition of non-porous gold coatings with a thickness of 0.05-0.08 μm .

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to methods for preparing a solution for applying metallic coatings on metal surfaces, in particular for chemical gilding, and can be used in microelectronics, jewelery, etc.

A solution of chemical gilding in (1) containing water, alkali metal cyanaurate (III) and a complexing agent, which can be used as ethylene diaminotetramethylene phosphoric acid or 1-hydroxyethyl-1,1-diphosphoric acid, is known. The drawbacks of the known solution are that the layer of the dropping gold is loose and porous.

The closest analogue to the present invention adopted as a prototype is a chemical gilding solution in accordance with (2), containing the following component ratios:

  • Cyanoaurate (for gold) - 0.5-1.0
  • The complexing agent (ethylene glycol-bis, triethylenetetraamine-hexa-acetic acid or its salts - 9.0-21.0
  • Distilled water - the rest

The disadvantage of the prototype is that , when used, it is not possible to obtain a really thin layer of precipitating gold, because the precipitation reaction is due to intramolecular oxidation, which occurs only with the participation of a gold compound with two different complexing agents.

The technical task , the solution of which is directed to the present invention, consists in the preparation of a chemical gilding solution that provides the finest high-quality coating on metals, used both independently and as an additional sublayer.

The solution of this technical problem is achieved by the fact that in the method for preparing a chemical gilding solution comprising dissolving potassium cyanoaaurate and a complexing agent Trilon B in demineralized water, the dissolution of potassium cyanoaaurate is conducted in a saturated solution of the complexing agent Trilon B with the addition of a metal hydroxide capable of forming with the cyanide double complex compounds of the type K m M (CN) n , where M is the metal, m is 1,2,3; N is 2,4,6 , while the amount of metal hydroxide is taken at least 1/4 mole for each mole of potassium cyanoaaurate used.

The proposed solution is prepared as follows. First, the components known in f2 / are dissolved in distilled water. Then, copper, nickel, cobalt, zinc or other metals hydroxide in the amount of 1/4 mole of hydroxide per mole of potassium dicyanoaurate to be used for the coupling reaction in the recombination of free cyanide.

Introduced hydroxides, which are complex compounds, which form double cyanides of the KM (CN) 4 type , where M is a metal, bind the free-cyanide dicyanoaurate released by the recombination reaction:

4K (CN) + M (OH) 2 → K 2 M (CH) 4 + 2KOH

The result is an additional reduction in the thickness of the gold coating due to a decrease in the concentration of KCN , capable of etching the base and leading the reaction towards autocatalysis. At the same time, the quality of the coating falling onto the undamaged substrate improves ( see Table 1 ).

METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF A SOLUTION OF CHEMICAL GOLD. Patent of the Russian Federation RU2166561

The technical and economic effectiveness of the proposal is that a very thin coating ( within 0.005-0.08 μm ) of the highest quality is achieved, which is well connected to the substrate surface and has no pores.
