The invention relates to gold-based alloys intended for use in the jewelry industry. The alloy contains, wt. Gold 41.7 42.2; Silver 5.5 6.5; Zinc 6.0 12.0; Copper the rest. The alloy is pink in color, the reflectivity is characterized by the color coordinate 0,751 0,768, according to the standard ISO 8654, belonging to the group 4 N.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the metallurgy of gold alloys intended for use in the jewelry industry.

In the production of jewelry among the many criteria for assessing the raw materials and the products themselves, there are three important criteria of efficiency and quality: the criterion of appearance, the criterion of saving precious metal (for example, gold), the criterion of value.

The color range of gold alloys is quite diverse. In Russia and abroad, gold jewelry, such as pink, is in high demand. As a rule, gold alloys of pink color have a high gold content.

An alloy containing, Gold 75, silver 12.5, copper 12.5, pink color gold alloy 750 o . However, products made from such high-grade gold alloys are too expensive for a mass, average consumer.

The desire to save gold and meet the demand of the mass consumer led to the creation of alloys with a relatively low gold content.

A gold alloy of 375 ° , containing,

Gold 37,2-37,8

Silver 9,5-10,5

Palladium 3,5-4,1

Copper Other

The alloy has an interval of crystallization that is too wide (779-926 ° C), which causes a high level of rejection of castings by segregation.

The alloy of gold is closest to the claimed, containing,

Gold 37,2-37,8

Silver 5.0-6.0

Palladium 4.0-5.0

Cobalt 0.5-2.0

Copper Other

The alloy has a crystallization interval of 890-970 ° C. A number of products were made from it. The saving of gold and silver was and is achieved, but later the alloy showed serious shortcomings, sharply restricting its use.

Products from the prototype alloy showed a low reflectivity ( 0,740) the color turned red and dim.

The aim of the invention was the development of a jewelry alloy having a relatively low gold content and providing a pink color and sufficient reflectivity of the products.

This is achieved by the addition of zinc in the gold-based alloy containing silver and copper at the following component ratio, wt.

Gold 41,7-42,2

Silver 5.5-6.5

Zinc 6.0-12.0

Copper Other

As a result, an alloy is obtained on the basis of gold, pink, the reflectivity of which is characterized by a color coordinate 751-0.768, according to the ISO 8654 standard belonging to the 4N group.

Products from this alloy are sold abroad as export supplies. Demand for products from such alloys can be quite high, since its cost, naturally, is much lower than existing pink alloys with a high gold content.

The essence of the invention is explained by the table, which shows the dependence of the color characteristics of alloys with a reduced gold content on composition and component ratio. The table compares the color characteristics of the alloy 375 o (composition 1 prototype), alloy-invention (compositions 2-7) and alloys in which the ratio of components exceeds the limits specified in the claims (compositions 8-12).

From the table, the advantages of the proposed alloy are seen before the known, and deterioration of the specified color characteristics in the event of a violation of the component ratio established by the claims.

CLAIM

A GOLD ALLOY containing silver and copper, characterized in that it additionally contains zinc at the following component ratio, wt.

Gold 41.7 42.2

Silver 5.5 6.5

Zinc 6.0 12.0

Copper Other
