SYMPTOMS AND PATHOGENESIS
Infusoria affects the skin and gills. On the body appears a weak matte coating of mucus, which then flakes off in the form of flakes. The infected fish swallows the air, does not respond to irritants. Performs vibrational motion of the body in one place. In the absence of treatment, fish die.

DIAGNOSIS
The disease is diagnosed by the main external signs and by microscopic examination of scrapings from the surface of the skin, fins and gills, on which the causative agents of the disease are found.

TREATMENT
Preparations for adding aquarium water:

  • 0.03 g of methylene blue per 10 liters of water;
  • 0.03 g rivanol for 10 liters of water.

Baths:
  • 0,3 g potassium permanganate for 10 liters of water, exposure no more than 10 minutes;
  • 2 ml of 40% formalin per 10 liters of water, aging 30 minutes.
