GLUGEOATOSIS (GLUGEOZIS)

Spore Glugea hertwidi and Glugea destruens. Oval spores of the fungus Glugea hertwidi have a size of 5.0 X 2.2 μm. The ovoid spores of the fungus Glugea destruens have a size of 3.6 X 2.0 μm. Glugea destruens affects the muscles, Glugea hertwidi - muscles and gill apparatus.

EPISEOLOGICAL DATA
It is observed mainly in zebrafish and dinosaurs.

SYMPTOMS AND PATHOGENESIS
Source of infection - sick and dead fish. The muscular tissue is affected, there is a pop-eyed, sometimes a tumor on the skin. Fish can swim on their sides.

DIAGNOSIS
The disease is diagnosed on the basis of clinical and pathoanatomical signs of the disease.

PATHOLOGYANATOMIC CHANGES
In patients with fish in the muscles and connective tissues of the subcutaneous tissue, white tumor-shaped protuberances - cysts filled with spores of microsporidia - are found. The size of cysts reaches 10 X 2 mm.

TREATMENT
Treatment is not developed. Sick fish and plants are destroyed, the aquarium and soil are disinfected. Fish, which were together with sick fish, are placed in a solution of rivanol (0.35 g per 10 liters of water) and observed.
