Presented nodules fibrous addition, sometimes in the form of a dense mass with a powdery coating. The color is apple-green and yellow-green.

Diagnostic signs.
Loses water when heated in a closed vessel.

Origin.
Baildonite is found in the oxidation zone of copper-lead deposits together with mimetite, olivenite and other arsenates.

Place of Birth.
Among the deposits where this mineral is found, one can name Tsumeb (Namibia), Saint-Dey (Cornwall Peninsula), Diu (Allier River, France).
