More than thirty activists disappeared during mass protests in Ukraine. According to the human rights group “SOS euromaidan” on its Facebook page, by the evening of February 2, 36 people are missing.
In total, since mid-January, human rights activists have received 129 reports of missing people. The list of missing people were mostly residents of Kiev, as well as some other cities. The roll call list is updated regularly.
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, during the protests from mid-November to the end of January, the police received 26 complaints about the missing.
Protests continue in Ukraine since mid-November. On January 19, they escalated into clashes between radical opponents of the current government and the police. According to various sources, as a result, from several hundred to one and a half thousand people were injured, including dozens of journalists and medical workers, several people were killed. Cases of abductions, beatings and torture of people were also recorded.
