The press service of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” reported that a Right Sector bus had been shot at the entrance to Donetsk. Seven people were killed on the spot, another 13 were injured, and they were allegedly hospitalized in Donetsk hospitals. A few more people were able to hide in the fields of sunflower.
The leader of the Right Sector Dmitry Yarosh confirmed the death of his fighters and promised revenge.

Metropolitan Onufry of Chernivtsi and Bukovinsky (Berezovsky) was elected August 13 as the new Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Voting for the new head of the church took place in two rounds. After the 1st round, the leaders' votes were distributed as follows: Metropolitan Onufriy of Chernivtsi and Bukovinsky - 36, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovarsky - 24, Simeon of Metropolitan Vinnitsa and Mogilev-Podolsky. 9.
