Unique photographs of soldiers before and after the war
Having been in Afghanistan for quite some time, the photographer Layledge Snow decided to implement the very interesting and outstanding project “We Are Not Dead”.
He wanted to show what a mark on the faces and souls of the people the war leaves. In their eyes one can read easily all the horror through which they had to go. War leaves not only physical, but also deep psychological and moral wounds.
Each photo consists of three parts: before, during and after the war.
In the gaze of soldiers who went through the war, you can see everything: fear, hatred, horror, sadness, homesickness and the joy of a long-awaited meeting with those who were waiting for them.
You will be amazed to see these changes!
The war has an ugly face.
War is grief and evil that takes away the lives of innocent people; it is a chaotic force that destroys families and entire countries, breaks the psyche of an individual.
People, settle down and turn on common sense, let politicians fight, this is their war, not ours ...
We are not only against the war, we are for peace! Show these photos to others, maybe they will change their mind ...
