Five armed representatives of the DPR broke into the office of the Novyi Mir printing house demanding to prevent the distribution of special newspaper issues criticizing the activities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.

The leader of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, Valery Bolotov, appealed to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, with an appeal to send peacekeeping troops to the territory of the "republic", according to the LPR website.
"Today, at 4.00, Ukrainian troops committed an act of aggression against civilians, the illegitimate Kiev authorities are carrying out a punitive operation against the Lugansk republic. Its troops continue to occupy certain regions of the republic, threatening the vital activity of citizens," explained Bolotov on Thursday, May 22, in Lugansk.
He also noted that the LPR did not have enough forces to "expel the punishers," so Bolotov hopes that Russia will decide to send peacekeeping troops before the "humanitarian catastrophe artificially created by the leadership of Ukraine" begins in the region.
Clashes near Volnovakha and Rubezhnoye
