Rules of the game. The rules of this game, I first learned from the movie "The Adventures of Prince Florizel," which was shot based on the stories of RL. Stevenson's "Suicide Club." Its essence is that people who wanted to commit suicide and did not know how to do it or were afraid to do it, joined the "Suicide Club" for 40 pounds and played card game at night. All participants of this club sat down at a round table. The dealer was not a member of the club, he simply shuffled cards and put them in a closed stack in the center of the table, then each of the club members took one card from the top of the stack and opened it. If this card turned out to be a lady, then a member of the club was removed from today's murder, if not, then each member of the club continued to take one card. If any of the players pulled the lady, the dealer took the cards and shuffled them again, after which the card was extended. The member who draws an ace becomes an object of murder for tonight.
Over time, this game was modified and it began to play for money. Before the start of shuffling, each player made a bet. Then the dealer shuffled the cards and each player, starting with the player to the left of the dealer, took one card. The player who pulled the lady out of the game, and the one who pulled the ace, took the entire pot to himself.
