Volt

This method of fake shooting is called the Volt . This technique is widely described in the same section of card tricks. This method is probably the most popular among the sharers and its use speaks of the high skill of the sharper. The volt is executed in order for the cards to be handed out to the players in the right way. After the cards are removed by one of the players, the two separated parts of the deck are not compared to each other, and one part of the deck is put on the other while slightly moving back so that the edge of one part is barely noticeable from under the other part. With this arrangement of cards, the scorer can easily pass the little finger between the first and second part of the deck and place the top part of the deck imperceptibly on the lower deck, as a result of which the cards will return to their original position after shuffling the deck. Professional sharers do not immediately poke their little finger, but keep the pieces of the pack a short distance from each other, and at the right moment they thrust the little finger and change them in places.
