Homemade hookah.

Having understood the principle of the hookah's action, and having studied the ancient ways of making it from improvised means, I decided to try to make a hookah on my own.

kettle

The first step was to decide what to adapt to the flask. From scraps of school knowledge in chemistry, it followed that the flask was some sort of laboratory equipment, spending money for the purchase of which the desire was not perfect. It was decided to investigate the pantry. Among ancient things, plates and forks, I got a wonderful base for a future flask - an old teapot.

Corrugated hose

Now I was interested in what it is better to make a hookah mine, and what to use as a hose? For new ideas, I went to the building store. The answer to the second part of the question was found quickly - my home hose from the shower, long in need of replacement, fit perfectly well: practical and aesthetic.

Soldering Rod

In the same place, after long searches, a burner was bought from the gas stove, a metal strainer for the sink and a steel tube 30 cm long. I also bought a soldering rod, which allows you to easily connect metal surfaces. Frankly, the last find I was particularly pleased, since the relationship with the soldering iron did not work out as a child.

The main preparations were made, and it was possible to start work. The first thing I did was start the hookah mine, as the most difficult part of the work. To connect the gas hob to one end of the metal tube was very easy - it was enough to make a cone on the end of the tube and to hammer it into the hob with a hammer. As a result, a strong and tight joint was obtained. To connect the other end of the tube to the lid of the kettle was somewhat more complicated.

To begin with, I drilled a hole for the handle in the lid of the kettle to the diameter of the tube. Then he made two grooves on the tube in order to keep the solder better. It was very important to choose how much the tube would be immersed in the kettle. The height mark at the beginning of the base of the teapot spout was just right.

I put the lid back in place and put the phone down, I carefully disconnected the soldering rod from above, then opened the lid and also disappeared from below. Then the file was cleaned up with soldering places - and the mine was ready.

To connect the spout of the kettle with the hose from the shower, it was necessary to saw off a piece of spout in the place of the most correct section. Then the rubber hose was directed into the spout and sealed with an electrical tape, and the metal sheath together with the nut, which now had a decorative function, was dressed on the tip of the kettle.

After these operations, the strokes remained - filling the flask, it was necessary to seal the connection between the kettle and the lid with foil, and put a funnel for tobacco from the same material into the gas hob. In the end, I put a metal strainer on the burner - and the hookah is ready for use, it is enough just to place hot charcoal on top of the sieve.

Homemade Hookah

Making a hookah with their own hands was even cheaper than smoking a hookah once in a cafe:
Teapot - found in the pantry
The shower hose would still be thrown away
Gas burner - 50 rubles.
Metal tube - 28 rubles.
Strainer for the sink - 6 rubles.
Soldering rod - 60 rub.
The desire to invent is priceless
