Decorative lamp with your hands from b / w film.

Luminaire decor

With the development of digital cameras, films are gradually disappearing into the past. And many still have old films, which they can not throw out and the hand does not seem to make sense anymore. An interesting idea was visited by Claire Chauvin, who decided to give a second life to old things. Thus, giving the ordinary lamp an original and extraordinary glow.

What you need:
- Lamp made of glass (matt)
- Negatives or other transparencies
- Glossy glue for decoupage
- Brush
- Scissors
ADDITIONAL: Elastic bands for tightening strips of negatives

Decoration of the lamp by one's own hands

Step 1: Cut the negatives into the size of our lamp, depending on whether they are placed vertically or horizontally. The direction of placement of frames will still depend on the size of the bulb. Instead of black and white negatives, you can use color negatives or any other transparent film, such as X-rays.

Note: Do not turn on the light until the glue has dried.

Step 2: Apply glue to the luminaire and begin to glue the film strips.

Step 3: After you have applied all three bands, lightly align them in the center, so that they do not climb on top of each other.

Step 4: Do not forget to squeeze out all the bubbles from under the film. If the film is protruding, then it is necessary to tighten the luminaire in several places and wait until the glue dries.

Step 5: When all four sides are glued, it is necessary to open the glue again over the film to give the luminaire a glossy surface.

Step 6: After the glue is completely dry, turn on the lamp and enjoy our creation.
