Nasal bone

The nasal bone , os nasale paired, has the shape of a quadrilateral, slightly elongated and slightly convex anterior. Its upper edge is connected with the nose of the frontal bone , the lateral margin with the anterior edge of the frontal process of the maxilla .

The anterior surface of the bone is smooth and perforated by one or more apertures (trail of vessels and nerves ). Posterior surface slightly concave and has a latticed groove, sulcus ethmoidalis. - traces of the anterior lattice nerve. Inner, slightly jagged edges, both nasal bones form a mesenteric suture, sutura intenasalis, on which the longitudinal groove is located.

Both bones with their internal surfaces adjoin the forehead of the frontal bone and perpendicular to the plate of the latticed bone .
