Urinary organs, organa urinaria, are part of the overall system of excretion, participate in maintaining the constancy of the internal environment of the body.

The urinary organs include the kidneys , renes, ureters , ureteres, the bladder , the vesica urinaria, and the urethra , uretra.

The most important organ of the urinary system - the kidney , is a complex tubular gland that specializes in removing excess water and the products of tissue metabolism from the blood. The kidneys excrete urine, urina, containing urea, uric acid, salts and other compounds, the excessive accumulation of which in the body disturbs its vital functions.

The outflow of urine from the kidneys is carried out by the urinary tract system. Due to the frequency of urination along the urinary tract, there is a reservoir for collecting urine - the bladder.
