The distal radiovolume joint

The distal radiophilateral joint , articulatio radioulnaris distalis, is formed by the articular circumference of the ulna and the elbow cutting out of the radius. More detailed the head of the ulna is the joint disc. It is a triangular fibrous-cartilaginous plate, which with its base is attached to the elbow cutting of the radius bone, and the apex - to the elongated process of the ulna. The disk separates the cavity of the distal radiophilic joint from the cavity of the wrist joint.

The joint capsule is spacious. It is attached along the edge of the articular surfaces of bones to the disk, forming at the top, between the ulna and radial bones, a baglike depression, the recessus sacciformis.

Distal radial-fibrous joint in form cylindrical with vertical axis of rotation. Together with the proximal radiophobic joint, it forms a single functional combined joint, which ensures the rotation of the radius relative to the ulna .
