Clynoid-like joint

Klinoladievidny joint, articulatio cuneonavicularis, is a complex compound, in the formation of which take part navicular, cuboid and three wedge-shaped bones. Here, the following joints are formed: a klinola-like joint between the anterior articular surfaces of the scaphoid bone and the posterior articular surfaces of the medial, intermediate, and lateral wedge-shaped bones, and joints between the surfaces of the cuboid, scaphoid, and lateral wedge-shaped bones facing each other.

The joint cavity between the scaphoid and wedge-shaped bones is located in the frontal plane, and three joint gaps extend from it in the form of branches: between the medial, intermediate and lateral wedge-shaped, lateral wedge-shaped and cube-shaped bones and one articular gap backward between the scaphoid and cuboid bones.
The joint capsule is attached along the edge of the articular cartilage. The cavity of the joint through the gap between the medial intermediate and lateral wedge-shaped bones communicates with the cavity of the tarsus-metatarsal joint in the region of the metatarsal II.

Klinoladevidny joint is strengthened by separate groups of ligaments having different topography. So, the back ligaments of the tarsus are distinguished, ligg. Tarsi dorsalia, plantar ligaments of the tarsus, ligg. Tarsi plantaria, and interosseous ligaments of the tarsus, ligg. Tarsi interossea.
These groups are represented by the following links:

1. Rear klinoladievidnye ligaments, ligg. Cuneonavicularia dorsalia, are located on the back surface of the joint between the navicular and three wedge-shaped bones.

2. Rear cuboid-navicular ligament, lig. Cuboideonaviculare dorsale, is lateral to the previous one and connects the rear surfaces of the cuboid and navicular bones.

3. The posterior cuneiform cuboid ligament, lig. Cuneocuboideum dorsale, is located outside of the previous one, connecting the lateral sphenoid bone with the cuboidal.

4. Rear interclinical ligament, ligg. Intercuneiformia dorsalia, are located on the back surface of the joint between the medial, intermediate and lateral wedge-shaped bones.

5. Plantar cuboid-navicular ligament, lig. Cuboideonaviculare plantare, is located on the plantar surface of the joint between the cuboid and navicular bones.

6. Plantar cuneiform cuboid ligament, lig. Cuneocuboideum plantare, connects the plantar surfaces of the lateral cuneate and cuboid bones.

7. Plantar clinoal-like ligaments, ligg. Cuneonavicularia plantaria, located between the plantar surface scaphoid and three wedge-shaped bones.

8. Plantar interclinical ligament, ligg. Intercuneiformia plantaria, are located on the plantar surface between the wedge-shaped bones.

In addition to these ligaments, there are a number of short, strong ligaments between adjacent bones in the joint cavity: the interosseous clinopubic ligament, lig. Cuneocuboideum interosseum, interosseous interclinical ligament, ligg. Intercuneiformia interossea.
