In the clinic, it is used for the diagnosis of focal lesions of infarction, ventricular cardiac hypertrophy (especially in the early stages) and arrhythmias.
Research carried out in the patient's position on the back by placing electrodes on the surface of the chest. The resulting potential difference is recorded on the screen of a cathode ray tube.
