Inflammation of the mucous membrane of the uterus. It is caused by pyogenic microbes, possibly with microbacteria of tuberculosis. Necrosis of the endometrium leads to its rejection, bleeding, the appearance of liquid purulent-bloody leucorrhoea. The process can spread to myometrium (the muscular layer of the uterus) with the development of metritis or metroendometrita.
Elevated temperature, general malaise, pain in the lower abdomen, purulent-sacral leucorrhoea. Chronic course is accompanied by uterine compaction, menstrual cycle disorder, miscarriage.
