Eyes of tuberculosis


It affects all the departments of the organ of vision - cornea, conjunctiva, vascular membrane, fundus, optic nerve and adjacent vessels, vitreous body and so on.
Symptoms and course:
Tuberculosis can simulate any eye disease. This causes pain in the eye with its spread to the entire half of the head, swelling of the eyelids and conjunctiva, redness. When the cornea, vitreous, and other parts of the eyeball are affected, bleeding, corneal ulceration, and visual impairment are possible.
The course of the disease, as a rule, is long, relapsing.
The prognosis can be very different: from cure to total blindness.
