Characterological (psychopathic) disorders

Are observed more often with prolonged diseases with a chronic course and are manifested in the sharpening of personality characteristics and reactions. Diseases that begin in childhood, contribute to the formation of pathocharacterological development of personality. Diseases resulting in defects in appearance (skin diseases, extensive burns, curvature of the spine, etc.) are the soil for the development of an inferiority complex that limits social connections and emotional contacts of patients. Patients due to prolonged illness become morose, selfish with hostile and sometimes hostile attitude towards others. Living in conditions of hyper-care, increased care, become even more self-centered, requiring constant attention. Others may develop anxiety, suspiciousness, shyness, self-doubt, indecisiveness, which causes patients to lead a solitary lifestyle.
