Inflammation of the bile ducts. Adrift and morphological changes in the ducts can be acute, subacute, and purulent. Often it occurs as a concomitant loss in acute cholecystitis, postcholecystectomy syndrome, and can also be an independent disease.
The main symptoms are pain in the right upper quadrant, fever with chills, sweats, nausea, vomiting. The liver is enlarged and painful. In the spleen may increase as the disease progresses. A frequent symptom is jaundice, which is accompanied by pruritus. When suppurative cholangitis all clinical signs of inflammation were more pronounced, the temperature rises to 40 ± C, subphrenic abscess may develop sepsis. It may be complicated by hepatitis, in severe cases with hepatic coma.
Diagnosis is based on characteristic symptoms. Supporting the role of providing laboratory findings: elevated white blood cell count, ESR acceleration, changes in biochemical assays. Use cholangiography, gastroduodenoscopy, retrograde holapgiografiyu rarely laparoscopy (examination of the abdominal cavity through a laparoscope).
Diet NN 5a 5. Broad-spectrum antibiotics, medicines nitrofuran series, cholagogue, antispasmodic. In some cases, surgery is indicated: the removal of stones from the bile ducts, cut narrowing Vater nipple. Spa treatment in remission.
