Iodinol

, Is the product of the addition of iodine to polyvinyl alcohol, which slows the release of iodine and prolongs its interaction with the tissues of the body, while reducing the irritating effect of iodine on them. Applied with chronic tonsillitis, purulent otitis, chronic periodontitis, purulent surgical diseases, trophic and varicose ulcers, thermal and chemical burns. In chronic tonsillitis, lacunas of tonsils (4-5 washes are washed with intervals of 2-3 days), with purulent otitis apply instillation (5-8 drops) and rinsing. When trophic and varicose ulcers are applied to the surface of the ulcer gauze wipes (in 3 layers), moistened with iodine (pre wash the skin with warm water and soap and the skin around the ulcer is smeared with zinc ointment). The dressing is performed 1-2 times a day, and the gauze lying on the surface of the ulcer is not removed, but only once again soaked in iodinol. After 4-7 days, a local bath is prescribed, after which the treatment continues again.
When purulent and infected burns impose a loose gauze dressing impregnated with the drug. With fresh thermal and chemical burns of grade 1-11, a gauze dressing impregnated with iodine is also applied, and the inner layer is irrigated as needed. When iodinol is used, iodism can occur.
