Postpartum (post-abortion) infectious diseases
A group of diseases resulting from the penetration of microbes through wound surfaces formed during childbirth (abortion), or the activation of conditionally pathogenic microflora due to weakening of the body. Divided into a limited area of the birth wound (postpartum ulcer on the wall of the vagina, perineum or cervix, lohiiometra, endometritis) and extending beyond its limits (parametritis, adnexitis, thrombophlebitis of the lower extremities, pelvioperitonitis, mastitis).
