Description of medicine: Ferrous sulfas ferrous sulfate
IRON SULFATE (Ferrosi sulfas).
Synonyms:. Iron sulfate, Iron sulfate, Ferrum sulfuricum oxydulatum.
Prismatic transparent crystals of bluish-green color or crystalline pale green powder. Soluble in 2, 2 parts of water with the formation of a greenish solution of an astringent taste, slightly acid reaction.
Doses for adults 0.3 - 0.5 g 3-4 times a day.
Take after meals.
Storage: in well-sealed jars in a bright place (to avoid the transition of iron into an oxide form).

S. 1 capsule 3 times daily after meals
Ferrous sulfate in its pure form is rarely used, but it is an integral part of a number of iron-containing complex preparations.
In small amounts (10 mg), it is part of some combination multivitamin tablets (see Glutamevit, Complivit, Oligovit, etc.).
