Aqueous extract from canned fresh grass of the stonecrop (Sedum maximum L. Suter.), Herewith. Crassulaceae (Сrassulaceae).
Transparent liquid, light yellow color with a slight peculiar smell; pH 5, 0 - 6, 5. Sterilized at a temperature of +110 ° C for 30 minutes.
It belongs to the group of biogenic stimulants. It enhances the processes of metabolism and regeneration, has a general tonic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Used as an aid to stimulate metabolic and regenerative processes in ophthalmic (corneal burns, fresh corneal opacities, etc.), dental (periodontal disease), surgical (accelerated consolidation of bone fractures, treatment of trophic and varicose ulcers of the lower leg, etc.) and therapeutic (fractures) gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer) practice.
Injected into the skin or intramuscularly daily for adults 1 to 2 ml (up to 3-4 ml) per day, for children under 5 years old - at 0.2 - 0.3 ml, over 5 years old - at 0.5 - 1, 0 ml . The course of treatment consists of 20 - 30 (up to 45) injections. If necessary, conduct repeated courses in 2 - 4 months.
In ophthalmic practice, a biosed is also prescribed subconjunctivally at 0.3-0.5 ml (per course of 10-25 injections). In the form of eye drops injected 1 to 2 drops 4-6 times a day.
The drug can be prescribed for electrophoresis for 3 - 5 - 7 min daily (up to 20 sessions).
In dental practice it is used in the form of applications, injections into the gum tissue and for electrophoresis.
When using the drug may be marked hyperemia and urticarial rash at the injection site. These phenomena disappear when the drug is canceled.
Biosed is contraindicated in patients with achilia and in malignant neoplasms.
