Description of the medicine: Kalanchoe juice (Succus Kalanchoes)
KALANCHOE JUICE (Succus Kalanchoes).
Juice from fresh leaves and the green part of the stems of the plant Kalanchoe pinnate, this. Crassulaceae.
Liquid of yellow color with an orange tint, aromatic odor, transparent or slightly opalescent, with a fine suspension, easily broken when shaken.
Kalanchoe juice has a local anti-inflammatory effect, helps cleanse wounds from necrotic tissues, stimulates their healing. Applied externally in the treatment of trophic ulcers, non-healing wounds, burns, pressure sores, nipple cracks in nursing mothers, aphthous stomatitis, gingivitis, etc.
Irrigate a wound or ulcer with juice (1–3 ml) using a syringe and apply a gauze dressing (4–5 layers), moistened with plenty of juice. The dressing is changed at first daily, then every other day. Once a day, the lower layers of the dressing are additionally moistened with juice (removing the upper layers). The average duration of the course of treatment is 15 to 20 days.
Kalanchoe juice is applied to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity in the form of an application 3-4 times a day. Several times a day are applied to the nipple cracks.
The drug is usually well tolerated. In case of burning sensation in the wound, Kalanchoe juice can be diluted with an equal amount of 1 - 2% novocaine solution.
Release form: in ampoules of 10 ml or in bottles of 100 ml in a package of 10 ampoules or vials.
Storage: at a temperature not higher than + 10 'C. Before use, the juice is kept at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
In dental practice, the juice is heated before use in a water bath to a temperature of + 37 'C.
