The drug has antidepressant (timolepticheskoe) effect, combined with anxiolytic and tranquilizing effect. By pharmacological properties and neurochemical action is different from the typical antidepressants; does not reduce the depressive effect of reserpine, weakens the central and peripheral effects of amphetamine action of norepinephrine; no appreciable effect on the neuronal uptake of catecholamines, but selectively blocks the reuptake of serotonin.
