Description medications: Taktivin (Tactivinum)

TACTIVIN (Tactivinum).

Synonym: T-activin.

The preparation of polypeptide nature, derived from the thymus gland of cattle.

Amorphous white powder. Easily soluble in water. Used as 0.01% of the finished solution.

Immunomodulatory agents. When immunodeficient states normalize quantitative and functional performance of T-cell population, it stimulates production of lymphokines, including interferons (see. Interferon), normalizes the other indices of cellular immunity.

Applied adults in the treatment of infectious diseases, septic, septic processes in lymphoproliferative diseases (Hodgkin's disease, lymphocytic leukemia), multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, recurrent oftalmogerpese and other diseases accompanied by immunodeficiency, mainly affecting T-cell population.

Administered subcutaneously (usually in the upper third of a shoulder) 1 times daily (at night) at the rate of 40 g per 1 m 2 of body surface area (1 - 2 mg / kg) for 5 - 14 days. If necessary, repeat treatments.

When persistent immune disorders taktivin administered (as a replacement therapy) at the same doses, for 5 - 6 days, and then one time in 7 - 10 days.

In malignancies and autoimmune diseases are administered for 5 - 6 days in between courses of the specific therapy.

Surgical patients with immunodeficiency taktivin administered within two days before and three days or more in the postoperative period.

While the application taktivina multiple sclerosis, wherein the preparation is administered daily for 5 days, then 1 time in 5 - 14 days. The treatment duration (1 - 3 years). Typically used in combination with other treatments.

When oftalmogerpese characterized by frequent relapses and lack of efficiency of conventional therapy, administered under the skin taktivin 0.01 - 0.025 mg (10 - 25 mg) 1 every day or every other day for 8 to 14 days.

For the prevention of relapse in persistently recurrent oftalmogerpese, taktivin administered every 3 - 6 months in the period, usually prior to the time of occurrence of relapse, 0,025 - 0.05 mg (25 - 50 mg); in the course of 5 injections a day.

The drug is contraindicated in the form of atopic asthma, pregnancy.

When oftalmogerpese taktivina use may enhance the inflammatory response in the affected area; if necessary, carry out instillation of corticosteroids (dexamethasone suspensions).

Product: 0.01% solution (transparent, colorless) in vials of 1 ml.

Storage: Keep in a dry, dark place at a temperature between + 2 to + 7 'S.
