Medication Description: Polyphepanum (Polyphepanum)
The product obtained during the processing of lignin - a product of the hydrolysis of carbohydrate components of wood.
Dark brown amorphous powder; odorless and tasteless. Practically insoluble in water.
The drug has a high adsorption capacity and when taken orally can adsorb bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.
Applied with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract of infectious and non-infectious nature, accompanied by diarrhea, flatulence, general intoxication.
In severe forms of infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract is used in addition to antibacterial therapy.
Assign inwards in the form of granules or paste (before meals) for adults and 1 tablespoon 3 to 4 times a day. Before use, stir the drug in a glass of water for 2 minutes, then slowly drink. The course of treatment is 5–7 days.
The drug is usually well tolerated; does not cause constipation and dysbiosis.
There are indications that polyfepane has a cholesterol-lowering effect.
Forms of release: the granules containing 50%; paste (on water) containing 40% polyphepan.
Storage: in a good dry place.
