Description of the medicine: Polyphepan (Polyphepanum)
A preparation obtained by processing lignin, a product of the hydrolysis of carbohydrate components of wood.
Dark brown, odorless and tasteless amorphous powder. It is practically insoluble in water.
The drug has a high adsorption capacity and, when taken orally, is able to adsorb bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.
Used for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract of an infectious and non-infectious nature, accompanied by diarrhea, flatulence, general intoxication.
In severe forms of infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, it is used in addition to antibiotic therapy.
Assign inside in the form of granules or pastes (before meals) for adults, 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day. Before use, stir the drug in a glass of water for 2 minutes, then slowly drink it. The course of treatment is 5 7 days.
The drug is usually well tolerated; does not cause constipation and dysbiosis.
There are indications that polyphepan has a hypocholesterolemic effect.
Method of release: granules containing 50%; paste (on water) containing 40% polyphepan.
Storage: in a prahladny dry place.
