Sultamicilin (Sultamicillin).

Kombinirovvnny formulation comprising a 2: 1 ratio of ampicillin sodium and sulbactam sodium.

Synonyms: Ampisid, Sulatsillin, Sultasin, unazin, Ampisid, Sulacillin, Unasyn.

Sulbactam sodium - sodium sulfonpenitsillata - is a derivative of the basic penicillin nucleus.

The white crystalline powder; easily soluble in water.

Sulbactam sodium has a pronounced antibacterial activity, but irreversibly inhibits b-lactamase (enzyme that destroys b-lactam nucleus of the penicillins). When used in conjunction with penicillins, sulbactam protect the latter from the hydrolysis and inactivation.

Sultamicilin is highly drug acting on gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, including strains penitsillinoustoychivye.
