Description medicines: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride (Oxytetracyclini hydrochloridum)

Oxytetracycline hydrochloride (Oxytetracyclini hydrochloridum).

Synonyms: Geomitsin, Oxytetracyclinum hydrochloricum, Geomycinum.

Yellow crystalline powder, odorless, bitter taste. Stable in mildly acidic conditions, is easily destroyed in acid solutions and alkaline solutions. Easily soluble in water (1: 3), it is difficult - in alcohol.

Applied to the manufacture of ointments "gioksizon", and aerosol "Oksitsiklozol".

Ointment "gioksizon" (Unguentum "Nuohusonum"). It contains 3% oxytetracycline hydrochloride and 1% hydrocortisone acetate.

In action, indications and method of use is similar to the ointment "Oksizon" (see. Oxytetracycline dihydrochloride).

Product: in tubes of 10 g

The same ointment produced in Yugoslavia under the name "Geokorton" ( "Geocorton").

Oksitsiklozol (0hususlosolum). Combination drug aerosol container containing 0.35 g of oxytetracycline hydrochloride and 0.1 g of prednisone.

The suspension of a yellow color; spray-formed oily viscous mass.

The product combines the antibacterial action of oxytetracycline with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects of prednisone.

Applied topically to treat superficial and deep burns, infected wounds, area of ​​less than 15 - 20 cm 2.

Before use, the cylinder shaken and then click on the spray head and spray applied to the skin surface for 1 - 3 sec (at a distance of 20 - 30 cm). Apply daily or 2 - 3 times per week depending on the degree of damage. If necessary, the drug is used often (2 - 5 times a day).

The drug is contraindicated in extensive granulating wounds, the wound in the presence of tetracycline sensitive to microorganisms, especially fungi. Do not allow contact with the eyes of the drug.

Product form in aerosol containers for '70

Storage: Keep away from heating appliances at room temperature. Protect cylinders from shocks, falls and exposure to direct sunlight.

Aerosol "Oksikort" (Aerosolum "Ohusortum") *. It contains 0.3 g of oxytetracycline hydrochloride, hydrocortisone, and 0.1 g of solvent to 75 g.

Indications and contraindications are the same as for aerosol "Oksitsiklozol".

Jet aerosol sprayed affected areas of skin 2 - 3 times a day. It should guard against falling spray into the eyes.

In Yugoslavia, made a similar drug called "Geokorton Spray"; It contains 50 ml of 0.25 g of oxytetracycline hydrochloride and 0.08 g of hydrocortisone.
