Medication Description: Sulfalenum-meglumin (Sulfalenum-megluminum)
N-methylglucamine salt of sulfalene. It is a soluble form of sulfalene, used as a solution for parenteral administration.
Chemotherapeutic activity corresponds to sulfalene. It is prescribed for various forms of purulent infections in surgical, neurosurgical, urological practice, in severe septic conditions, pneumonia, purulent meningitis, and in other cases when it is necessary to quickly create the necessary concentration of sulfalene in the blood and tissues.
Introduce the drug intravenously (struino or drip) or intramuscularly. Due to the fact that sulfalene has a prolonged effect, it is enough to administer the drug 1 time per day.
Single doses (they are daily for adults) 5 - 10 ml (0.5 - 1, 0 g of sulfalene) on the 1st day; in the future - 2 ml. The course of treatment is 7 to 10 days. If necessary, continue to take the treatment in the subsequent sulfale inside the form of tablets.

Product form: 18, 5% solution of sulfalene-meglumine, which corresponds to 10% solution of sulfalene, in 2 and 5 ml ampoules (0.2 or 0.5 g of sulfalene in the ampoule). The liquid is colorless or slightly yellowish; pH 8, 6 - 9, 5.
